What Is the Earth Planet on Snapchat – Meaning, Rank & Appearance
The Earth planet on Snapchat is part of the Friend Solar System feature available to Snapchat+ subscribers. It represents the third position in the planet order, following Mercury and Venus. The feature uses planets to show friendship rankings based on interactions such as Snaps and chats.
If Earth appears on a friend’s profile, it generally means they hold the third position in the relevant friendship ranking. However, this ranking reflects activity on Snapchat and does not necessarily show how close you are in real life.
What Is the Earth Planet on Snapchat?
The Earth planet on Snapchat is part of the Friend Solar System feature available to Snapchat+ subscribers. It shows a person’s position in your friendship ranking through a planet that represents one of the eight planets in our solar system.
Earth is the third planet in the solar system, following Mercury and Venus. In Snapchat’s Friend Solar System, Earth represents the third position in the relevant friendship ranking. The feature gives users a visual way to understand how Snapchat ranks their friendships based on interactions.
What Does the Earth Planet Mean in Snapchat Plus?
The Earth planet on Snapchat+ generally means that a friend holds the third position in the Friend Solar System. Snapchat uses planets to represent friendship rankings, making it easier to recognize where someone stands among your closest friends on the app.
These rankings are influenced by interactions such as Snaps and chats. However, the Earth planet does not reveal someone’s true feelings or prove how strong your friendship is outside Snapchat. It represents your position within the app’s friendship system.
What Does Earth Say About Your Friendship?
Seeing Earth on a friend’s profile suggests that the person holds a high position in the relevant friendship ranking. It may reflect regular communication through Snaps and chats, but it does not necessarily mean that you are their third-closest friend in real life.
Snapchat rankings can change as your interactions change. If you start communicating more frequently with another person, your positions may shift over time. The Earth planet is best understood as a feature that reflects Snapchat activity rather than a measure of loyalty, trust, or emotional connection.
How Earth Appears in Your Friendmoji
The Earth planet is designed to resemble the real planet, with blue oceans and green land areas. Depending on the current Snapchat design, it may appear with colorful details or small hearts around it.
You can see the planet through the Friend Solar System experience on a friend’s friendship profile when the feature is available. Its appearance helps distinguish Earth from other planets, such as Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter. The exact visual details may change when Snapchat updates its interface.
How to Find the Earth Planet on Snapchat
You can check the Earth planet through a friend’s friendship profile if you have access to Snapchat+’s Friend Solar System feature. Follow the steps below to check the available friendship information.
Open Your Friend’s Friendship Profile
Open Snapchat and go to the Chat screen. Find the friend whose planet you want to check, then tap their Bitmoji or profile picture to open their friendship profile. This profile contains information about your connection, including any available friendship badges.
Tap the Best Friends Badge
Look for the Best Friends or Friends badge on the friendship profile. If a Solar System badge is available, tap it to view the planet information. The wording and appearance of these badges may vary depending on your Snapchat version and the features available to your account.
Check Your Planet in the Solar System
After opening the Solar System information, look at the planet displayed for your friendship. If Earth appears, it generally represents the third position in the relevant friendship ranking. If you cannot see a planet, check whether you have Snapchat+, whether Friend Solar System is enabled, and whether the feature is available for that friendship.
What Rank Is Earth in Snapchat’s Friend Solar System?
Earth is the third planet in Snapchat’s Friend Solar System, following Mercury and Venus. In the standard planet order, Mercury represents the first position, Venus the second, and Earth the third. The remaining planets follow the same order as the real solar system.
This means Earth generally corresponds to the third position in the relevant Best Friends ranking. However, the displayed planet should be understood within Snapchat’s own feature, and it does not provide a complete picture of how you compare with every person in someone’s life.
Is the Earth Planet the Same as Being Someone’s Best Friend?
No, the Earth planet does not automatically mean you are someone’s number-one best friend. In the standard Friend Solar System order, Mercury represents the first position, Venus the second, and Earth the third.
Snapchat’s Best Friends and Friends badges also have different meanings. The planet feature represents a position in the friendship ranking, while the badge helps identify the type of friendship status shown on the profile. Always check the specific badge and planet rather than assuming Earth means you are the person’s closest friend.
Why Is the Earth Planet Not Showing on Snapchat?
The Earth planet may not appear because of your subscription, your feature settings, or the way Snapchat displays friendship information. If the planet is missing, check the following possible reasons before assuming there is a problem with your account.
Snapchat Plus Subscription Requirements
Friend Solar System is a Snapchat+ feature. If you do not have an eligible Snapchat+ subscription, the planet rankings may not be available to you. Check your subscription status and confirm that your account has access to the feature.
Check Whether Friend Solar System Is Enabled
Snapchat has provided settings that allow users to enable or disable the Friend Solar System experience. Open your Snapchat+ settings and look for the Solar System option. If the option is available, check whether it is enabled. Menu names and settings may change with app updates.
Update Snapchat to the Latest Version
An outdated version of Snapchat may have a different interface or may not display features correctly. Open your device’s official app store and check for an available Snapchat update. Install it if necessary, reopen the app, and check your friend’s profile again.
Can You Change Your Earth Planet on Snapchat?
You cannot directly select Earth as your friendship planet. Snapchat assigns planets according to the relevant friendship ranking, so the planet may change when the ranking changes.
Your position can be affected by your interactions on Snapchat. However, there is no guaranteed method to make a particular planet appear. If Earth is displayed, it reflects the ranking shown by Snapchat rather than a planet you can manually choose.
FAQs
Final Thoughts
The Earth planet on Snapchat represents the third position in the standard Friend Solar System order. It helps Snapchat+ users understand friendship rankings through a visual feature. If Earth appears on a friend’s profile, it reflects the ranking within Snapchat rather than the true value of your relationship. Friendship rankings can change over time, so the planet should not be used as the only way to judge a friendship.
